Hi Fam,
What a month(and last)!!! Thus far, we have had an influx of emails and correspondences in connection with the family I have not experienced in a very long time. Family members have been able to connect to others that they have not seen or spoken to in a long time. I was especially glad to hear from the Standard family; Michele, Warren Jr. and Venus, who stood out as a missing link to me, as Tanty Eva always spoke of Leroy and his family.
I can see a family reunion coming very soon either this or next year. What is more important than knowing where you came from, and where your link fits into the family history are most important? I just learned my second cousin Warren Jr. worked 2 blocks from me in Manhattan (though I am no longer there) it just goes to show how, maybe, we've passed each other multiple times and not even thought about that next person. My eldest brother Julian works in the same hospital as cousin DD, lol, how's that for coincidence? How many more coincidences are out there?????? I hope a lot more, will keep everyone up to date as more connections are made.

Tanty Eva's Farewell Homecoming
Hi Fam,
Today, we said goodbye to Tanty Eva as she is now going to join her siblings in Heaven. She was buried next to her loving husband; Carewe. It was a peaceful and well represented send off by the family and friends. I will continue to commit to her dream of keeping the family's history alive through the website we both worked hard on. Take care Tanty Eva and we love you.

Celebrating Merlin's Birthday this month
Hi Fam,
Though we're mourning Tanty Eva's untimely departure from this plane of existence, we must still celebrate life, and so, we must cherish everyday we have with our loved ones. Merlin have always been the rock and light that carries the love of the whole family in her heart, and we again want to acknowledge that out loud. We had a great time at the Korean Garden, where Merlin and Cherrie Ann was treated to a whole new palate of foods from afar. We laughed and joked all night and as every family should, we enjoyed each other's company. Enjoy the pics.

Hi Fam,
Check out the New Website at the Abbottlineage This is the new, more interactive site that have been promised. Working with come collaborators, I've gotten this to be what I think, a work of promise for the future of our family's history. Submit, submit, submit, submit, that's the only way we are going to keep the integrity of this site accurate. Enjoy.

Kicking & Screaming to the #$%!! End!
Hi Fam,Well, after 18 years and two months, Erica is off and settled in her new surrounding at Mohawk University. Here she is at the college dorm saying her farewells to us as we pulled off and allowed her to start a new chapter in life. This was a happy and painful separation as most parents experience. As adults, we know we've done the right thing by having her take this step in her life to make something of it. Life is not easy and this time of struggle and happiness is something not enough of our kids experience. The next two years are going to be eventful and a whole new appreciation of independence will also become relevant to her as to why we raised her the way we did.
We have so many people that helped mold her into this person we see today; her tias, cousins, friends, and family.
Again, it was a sad affair as to us leaving her so far but so near if the need ever arose.
As you can see from our picture below, this was a very sad day for us, we didn't want to let her go. Will we ever forgive ourselves for having our daughter 5 hours away from us, it was all so traumatic that we considered taking her back home the same day. I mean, here we now have spare rooms, not have to spend money and feel under appreciated, no yelling and worrying about where she is/was, I mean we're going to miss these things, right? NOT!! all I can say is; Hip Hip Hooray, finally! oops, forgot, this is a sad day for all, see our tears!!!! (hee hee)
